How to apply your nail polish wraps
STEP 1
Prep
Start with clean hands. Now gently push back cuticles with the cuticle stick and wipe nails with alcohol pad to remove any traces of oil or dirt from your nails.
Pro Tip
- Avoid use of any oils or lotions at least an hour before application.
- Best time to apply them is at night right before going to bed.
STEP 2
Select & Peel
Choose a nail wrap slightly smaller than the width of your nail. Peel it away from the paper backing.
Pro Tip
- It’s better to size down when placing your wrap and stretching it to fit vs going too big.
STEP 3
Apply & Press
Leaving a 1mm gap from the cuticle line and sides of your nail, apply the nail wrap starting at the cuticle line, pressing it down firmly until all edges are flat.
Pro Tip
- Make sure the wrap isn't touching the cuticle or your skin!
- Make sure the edges are really pressed down and have fully adhered to your natural nail.
STEP 4
Trim & File
Fold down the excess nail wrap or cut it with a scissors depending on your nail’s length.
File downwards to remove the excess nail wrap until the extra breaks away easily.
Pro Tip
- Hold the nail file at a 90° angle and file downwards in one direction. Filing in the other direction may cause dust or grit to go under the strip, preventing proper adhesion.
- Get multiple uses out of one nail wrap kit by cutting the wraps in half.
STEP 5
Smooth
Gently file and smooth away any rough edges to prevent lifting of the strip.
Ensure the free edge of the nail is visible and there are no uneven or rough bits hanging off.
STEP 6
Seal
Apply Namora's Glossy Top Coat for added shine and durability.
Pro Tip
- Avoid prolonged exposure to water (swimming, bathing, washing dishes etc) or oils for atleast 4 hours after application.
- You can also use a UV Gel Top Coat and cure it under a UV lamp. With gel top coat they can last up to 2 weeks.
- If using another brand of top coat, keep in mind certain formulations of top coats may not be compatible with Namora, especially quick dry ones. Try on one nail and see the results before applying on all nails.
Easy, Damage Free Removal
Apply oil to the flat end of the wooden cuticle stick and gently push it underneath the edges to loosen and lift the nail wrap starting from the cuticle line.
OR
Wipe clean with acetone-free nail polish remover.
